On Thursday, Captain N told me that he wanted to take me to a nice restaurant after church on Sunday. So after church today, we hung out for a little while and then got ready for our reservation at 2:30. Well, we headed to our reservation, and I asked the Captain about this new place. He told me it was called Danielle's and it was only open about 3-4 months. He had heard about it from a friend at work. It was a restaurant with an art gallery attached in a building that use to be a house.
So we got there after driving a little bit (and dancing in the car :) ), and we headed into the building. We pasted a receptionist, and went upstairs. I did notice that in the lobby there weren't too many pictures, but maybe it was on a different floor. As soon as I got off the elevator, I was startled by a "SURPRISE"!!!
Standing in front of me was my sister, my mom, Stylin' K, Stylin' K's mom and sister, KT, Sunshine K, Cristin, Tharper, Sonic, Captain N's Mother, Cousin, and Aunt! (I hope I didn't miss anyone and if I did, I'm terribly sorry...) WOW!! I couldn't get over it.
It was my bridal shower!!! What a surprise!! I was shocked! Captain N quickly made an exit and we headed into the shower room. It was decorated beautifully and my goodness there was an abundance of gifts! The shower started off with everyone introducing themselves and how they knew me. It's amazing how many different people came from the different parts of my life. Afterwards, stories were told of how Captain N and I met, and how he proposed to me. Then the Gift Bingo began! I got several great gifts that were requested off our registry!!! I also got some unexpected gifts from folks that weren't at the shower that were so thoughtful!!
The shower was a true blessing and I am such a blessed woman to have such great and awesome friends and family! Thank you to everyone who was involved! Especially Stylin' K and Stylin' K's mom who hosted the party!!
I wish I could share some pictures, but unfortunately, all the pictures were taken on other people's cameras!
