A Lazy Saturday Tidbits

Some tidbits about this week....

-Captain N arrived safe and sound on late Thursday evening. I was even able to go pick him up and listen to all his stories from Las Vegas. There were many highlights like visiting the hotels, going to Coyote Ugly, getting a massage (lucky duck!), and some other things. The only downside was that him and his friend, Mr. Tickles, caught a cold somewhere along the trip.

-We officially decided our flower person and cake person for the wedding! I can't wait to work with both of them!!!

-Today was a lazy Saturday! I slept in and then took a glorious 3 hour nap! Hopefully I'm all caught up on sleep and feeling better next week.

-My Pre-K II friends graduated last night. It was a wonderful ceremony. I loved every moment of it. It is such a precious thing to see someone graduate regardless of what they are graduating from. The kids did a wonderful job singing for their families. They created laughter and tears in the same moment. It was a memorable experience.

-I move to the Young Toddler room on Monday to be with another wonderful co-teacher. I am looking forward to working with that age group. I can't wait til the kids get to know me, because sometimes that's the best feeling in the world.

-The movie The Incredible Hulk was wonderful! It had the perfect amount of action and even some romance. The storyline was great too! I really enjoyed it. I might even have a new favorite superhero!

-The movie The Happening is not worth your time or money. In fact, I am only mentioning it and linking it so that you won't go see it. It doesn't even deserve a picture. Sorry Mr. Shyamalan. Sorry Mr. Marky Mark and Zooey (I usually love her roles!)

Well I'm off to read a couple of your blogs before I go to bed. I hope you all are having a great weekend! Thanks for reading!

Las Vegas

Sometimes the hardest thing for me is to have someone leave. Captain N will be getting on a plane in about a half hour to go to Vegas. Yes...Vegas. He is going there with one of his friends to celebrate the ending of his bachelorhood. He leaves this morning and will be back late Thursday night. I truly hope he has a fabulous time and really lives it up...to a point, but I'm sure going to miss him.

You don't realize how important someone is until they have to spend days away from you. I just hope these 3-4 days go quickly. Thank goodness for other people to keep things busy for me. :)
I think I may try to take a little nap before work....it's early!

I hope this week goes quickly and wonderful for you.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

Happy Father's Day Dad!

I love you and can't wait to talk to you in 16 days! I hope you have a blast in Greece with Mom and soon Lady Marmalade.

My dad is a phenomenal man. He is kind to others, doesn't put up with crap, and loves people everywhere. He has a heart to help others and shares the gospel with people who may never of heard it. He loves playing games especially ones that challenge his mind like Bridge, Freecell, Rushhour, and Sudoku. He counts cards, when others don't have a clue what has passed through the table. He gets upset if you don't try your best. He loves his kids and supports them. He always has a good story to share or a good movie to suggest. He is a spectacular man and I am blessed to have him as a Dad.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy! I love you!

Hope everyone else is having a great Father's Day!

Countdown #2 begins!

23 SLEEPS TIL MOM AND DAD GET TO THE STATES!!!

If you don't know my family, here is a quick summary of them. My family loves to travel and live in places outside of the states. I personally love living in the States, but they love living outside of the states....to each their own. Mom and Dad have been missionaries in Nepal since 2005. I get to see them about once a year which is always awesome and heartbreaking because they go back, but it's what they love. This time, they will come home for months. (more then one!!) They will be here for a month or two before my wedding and many months after so we can celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with them!

24 SLEEPS TIL MY SISTER COMES BACK TO THE STATES!

My sister (Lady Marmalade) has been traveling as well. After college she spent 2 years doing the Peace Corp and worked in Burkina Faso (on the left)! I have so much respect for her to go and live there! When she was done with her Peace Corp assignment, she went to France (on the right) to teach English to French students. She loved it there so much, after her job done there, she decided to stay throughout the spring in France! She did come and visit me around New Years and we made 2 marvelous lasagnas! She comes back to the States in 24 sleeps!

I can't wait! I will finally be able to talk to them for free on my cell phone! I will finally be able to know their daily activities instead of just the big picture. I won't have to, but can still communicate with them through email. I can't wait!!

Off to eat cake!

Say a prayer for this mega hot weather to go back to hot weather!

Have a great day!

-I had to sit down to cool off and regain composure in front of other brides-to-be

High:
-The tailor woman says it happens to alot of brides-to-be

Hanging out with Sunshine K, her sister, and enjoying her "bridal shower" party
High:
-I got to sit down in a chair in Kroger while I waited for them to walk to Kroger.

Curves Works!

So it's been about two months since I started at Curves ("the cult" as Captain N calls it). It has been wonderful!! I've been blessed because I am lucky enough to get to know several fellow Curves members.

Each month they do a measurement session on about the same day. My measurement day happens to be on the 5th of each month. I tried to do it last month, but things had just gotten in the way. So...today I found out I lost 9 inches! WOW! Going to Curves 3x a week works! Funny how my weight has stayed the same...

Wedding Updates...
-We are currently interviewing for the best wedding cake makers out there, yet still pretty cheap (but not Wal-mart cheap...right Dad). We get to try some more delicious cake on Sunday!
-My first Wedding Dress fitting is happening on Saturday! AHHH!! I absolutely LOVE putting that dress on it! It's a magical dress! I can't wait till Captain N sees it!
-Sunshine K is having a bridal shower this Saturday! WOOT WOOT!
-Our invitations have arrived and are being put together in the next couple of weeks!! Thanks to MB for helping me address them next week!!

I hope you have received some great news today too!
