Well, it's a nice Saturday at the end of January and I feel like I should write a blog post. I know I know I'm not very good at this. Keeping up with blog posts are hard with the business of life. So this will be a post about life.
We spent a wonderful Christmas with Captain N's family. It was refreshing and so nice to have time off. We came home a few days after Christmas and enjoyed doing nothing up til New Years.
Then it was back to the old grind at work. Work is going well for the main part. I continue to be really lucky because I have a sweet hard-working co-teacher. We have our funny moments, but I can't replay them on here because they require the use of some names.
A couple of my friends from college and here have had a baby! Congratulation to you! I am so excited for you and wish I could come visit some of them. You know who you are.
I am starting the second class in Early Childhood Administration for my quest to become an Assistant Director somewhere great. It's good because I have gotten to meet people and learn all about the difficulties and good things about being an Assistant Director. I can't wait for the right opportunity!
My parents have been in Nepal for the past couple of months. They are busy finding an apartment, refreshing their knowledge in the Nepali language, and visiting a hospital their organization works with. Of course, since it's winter, Mom's best friend has become her hot water bottle, and the new gas heater that heats the water for their showers.
The biggest blessing to me is that my parents and I are able to video chat with each other for free. I get to see both my parents from halfway across the world. It's alot of fun, and a much better connection than the phone.
My grandmother past away at the beginning of January. It is was expected shocking news to hear of her passing. We were expecting her to go around October and were able to enjoy her til January. She was 96 years old. She lived a wonderful life full of many accomplishments which included having 5 wonderful children, writing a couple of books about Bridge, going on many trips, spoiling her grandchildren, and just enjoying life. She told great stories, and I loved hearing them. She had a wonderful laugh that was contagious. She was wonderful grandmother and I will miss her. She has always been in my life, but now we know she is up with our grandfather, probably dancing with him. She had missed him so much. I am happy that she is happy now, but sad because the world has lost a great woman. I love you Grandmother!
